We are the Discobots FIRST and VEX team based in Houston, Texas. Our team number is 2587 and we have students from Lamar High School and Carnegie Vanguard High School. We were founded in December of 2007, and ever since we have been working hard to bring together students, teachers, and mentors who love technology.

We also compete in the VEX Robotics Competition. With VEX, teams are given a set of standard parts to build robots to compete in local competitions. In each competition, the winners qualify to compete in the world competition encompassing teams from all around the globe. The robots must be designed to fit into an 18x18x18 inch box and compete in a year round competition that is unveiled every year to the teams.
